Affiliate-Shop-System (onix)
- Distribution-network of the webshops: The affiliates (Shop 01, Shop 02 ...) get the product-records from the root-shop directly. They can modify the records inside their shop. The orders of their customers go to the root-shop directly.
The Affiliate-Shop-System is a TYPO3-extension and has its origin in the development of the extensions tt_products and commerce. It is an independant shop-system beside tt_products and commerce.
The software meets the requirements of distributors and producers in the media- and especially the book-branch, who are running shop-networks with their partners and affiliates.
We expect to see the first version in July 2008.
The shop system uses for import, data storage and intern communication the XML-format ONIX. So the whole media-administration of the affiliate-system is very lean.
ONIX is a standard format that publishers can use to distribute electronic information about their books to wholesale, e-tail and retail booksellers, other publishers, and anyone else involved in the sale of books or other media.
